Game Preview: Pacers vs Nets

Matchup

The Pacers return home to Bankers Life Fieldhouse on Saturday night hoping to snap a four-game losing streak. Indiana (30-38) will host Brooklyn (28-39) for the first and only time this season on Saturday. The Pacers beat the Nets on the road on Dec. 27.

Indiana hung tough in Friday's loss in Cleveland, but LeBron James and the Cavaliers made just enough plays down the stretch to eke out a win.

The Blue & Gold now find themselves in the thick of a five-team race for the final two playoff spots in the Eastern Conference. After Friday's results, the Pacers are tied with Boston for eighth place, just a half-game ahead of Charlotte and 1.5 games ahead of Saturday's opponent, Brooklyn.

The Nets won a thrilling triple-overtime game over Milwaukee on Friday night, but it remains to be seen how much energy they'll have left on Saturday.

Both Indiana and Brooklyn feature a center coming off one of their best performances of the season. Nets big man Brook Lopez had 32 points and 18 rebounds in Friday's win over the Bucks. The Pacers' Roy Hibbert had 20 points on 8-of-13 shooting against the Cavs, the first time since Jan. 5 that the Big Dawg scored 20 or more.

Hibbert may not have his bruise brother on Saturday. Starting power forward David West played just 12+ minutes on Friday night in Cleveland due to illness and is listed as questionable for Saturday's game.
