Cavs Playoff Access Fires Up!

Tickets for the Cavaliers 2015 NBA Playoffs presented by Discount Drug Mart will be on sale soon. The Cavs have launched Playoff Access as the way for fans to purchase remaining single game ticket inventory available on a FIRST-COME, FIRST-SERVED basis. Playoff Access is different from a ticket lottery where registered fans are randomly selected to have the chance to purchase tickets.

To have Playoff Access, fans simply need to register by signing up at Cavs.com. Once registered, fans will receive email notifications with instructions for purchasing playoff tickets, including exactly when the tickets will go on sale for each respective playoff game.

  • Fans only have to register once for Playoff Access, but can sign up throughout the playoffs.
  • Those that registered for the monthly lottery for 2014-15 regular season single game tickets will automatically be registered for Playoff Access, and do not need to sign up again.

To have the opportunity to purchase tickets for the first two home games of Round 1 (Home Game #1 and Home Game #2), the deadline to sign up is Thursday April 9th at 5:00 p.m. The email notification for those two games will include a unique password that will provide access to an online order site which will detail all ordering guidelines. After each game(s) deadline passes, all those registered will automatically become eligible for future opportunities to purchase playoff tickets as well.

Each round of the 2015 NBA Playoffs will be a best-of-seven series with the first team to win four games advancing to the next round. For all four rounds of the playoffs, the team with the better regular season record has “home court advantage” and hosts the first two games of each round. The opposing team then hosts the next two games, and then the series alternates sites for the remaining three games if needed, until a team has won four games (2-2-1-1-1 format). Thus, the team with home court advantage for the series has the ability to host four of the potential seven games at home, if needed. Tickets for each home game during the playoffs at The Q will be labeled Home Game #1, Home Game #2, Home Game #3, etc., as the playoffs progress through all rounds.

  • Due to the nature of the playoffs, ticket on sale information will be determined based on how each round unfolds.
  • A new email notification and unique password to purchase tickets will be sent throughout the playoffs as games are decided and scheduled.
  • There is a six ticket limit per transaction and tickets will be available while supplies last on a first-come, first-served basis.

The NBA will announce specific dates and times for the first round of playoff games shortly after the regular season is over. There will be updates to that schedule as the playoffs progress. Fans can check Cavs.com for all updated playoff information, and also follow the Cavaliers on Twitter (@Cavs), Facebook (Facebook.com/Cavs) and Instagram (@Cavs).
