Season Summary
The reigning Sixth Man of the Year provided plenty of scoring for the Lakers, particularly at the charity stripe. The crafty foul-drawer led his team with a career-high 5.3 made free throws, which ranked 11th in the NBA — much higher than any other who often came off the bench. He also averaged the second-most points of his career (15.3), which ballooned to 16.9 while in the starting lineup for 35 games. Though Williams sat the final seven games to give more playing time to younger players, he still ended strong by scoring double figures in each of his last 16 games, save for one that he exited early due to injury.
