Exactly Where She Thought She'd Be, Fowles Ready For Game 5

MINNEAPOLIS – Sylvia Fowles had the blueprint in her mind. On Thursday night, that vision is a reality.

Fowles, who was traded to the Lynx in late July, wanted to come to Minnesota all along. After seven seasons with the Chicago Sky, the 6-foot-6 center saw Minnesota as a place where she fit. Where she could thrive. Where she could win.

With a win in Thursday night’s winner-take-all Game 5 (8PM ET, ESPN 2), Fowles and the Lynx could have the ultimate prize. The fact that it could happen at the end of one the league’s all-time best Playoff series is just a plus.

“It’s been unreal at times,” said Fowles, reflecting on the year as a whole. “Thinking back from when this all started, everything played out the way I thought it would be, except for missing the first half of the season. Other than that, I really have no complaints. This is one of the best games in WNBA history. It’s been a good Finals, a great Finals. I’m just looking forward to tomorrow night.”
