CLIPPERS VS. THUNDER: MEDIA PREDICTIONS

Here is a sampling of how some media members at some of the nation’s major outlets believe the Western Conference Semifinals between the Thunder and Clippers will play out:

- ESPN’s “Forecast Panel,” consisting of more than 210 contributors, predicted the Thunder winning the series in seven games is the most likely outcome. Just 19.6 percent of the vote went in that direction with 16.2 percent picking the Clippers in six games, 15.7 percent picking the Thunder in five and another 15.0 percent predicting the Thunder in six.

- Rotoworld basketball, via Yahoo Sports, had four of their nine writers select the Clippers in seven games, while three picked the Thunder in six and two have the Thunder in seven.

- USA Today’s basketball staff (Sam Amick, Jeff Zillgitt, Kevin Spain and Adi Joseph) leaned towards the Clippers. Amick was the only one to choose Oklahoma City (seven games). Joseph, Spain and Zillgitt predicted a series win for the Clippers with Zillgitt having them in six games and the other two predicting a win in seven games.

- Ben Bolch from the L.A. Times has the Clippers in seven games.

- CBS Sports’ Ken Berger, Zach Harper and Matt Moore all predict the Thunder will take the series in seven games.

- NBC Pro Basketball Talk’s Kurt Helin thinks the Thunder will win in seven games.

- Bleacher Report contributor and Warriors sideline reporter Ric Bucher did not make a prediction in number of games, but said that the Thunder should have it “relatively easy” against the Clippers.

- Andrew Gilman of Fox Sports OK picked Oklahoma City in five games.

- Fox Sports’ national NBA writer Jimmy Spencer predicts the Thunder will win in seven games.
