Established 1946 | 7-time NBA Champions

Golden State Warriors guard Stephen Curry has been named the NBA Western Conference Player of the Month for games played in October/November, the NBA announced today. The 6-3 guard has helped the Warriors to their best start through 17 games in franchise history at 15-2, as well as their best road start through 10 games (9-1). Curry, who also won the award in April 2013 and April 2014, is the first Warrior to earn the honor three times and the first to win consecutive monthly awards.

Curry averaged 23.8 points (fifth in the NBA), 7.8 assists (fifth), 5.3 rebounds and 1.94 steals (eighth) in 32.4 minutes during the first month of the season, while shooting 49.6 percent from the field, 41.8 percent from three-point range and 92.3 percent from the line (third) in 16 games. He tallied at least 30 points four times and had four double-doubles, including a 30-point/15-assist game on Nov. 16 at the Lakers. Over the last two seasons, Curry has more 30/15 games (five) than the rest of the NBA combined (four). The Davidson product scored a season-high 40 points in a comeback victory over Miami on Nov. 25, hitting 8-of-11 from three-point land in his seventh career 40-point performance.
