Kings To Host Five 2012 NBA Draft Parties in Neighborhoods Throughout Sacramento Region

SACRAMENTO, CALIF., June 25, 2012 -- The Sacramento Kings are partnering with CBS Radio and popular local establishments to celebrate the 2012 NBA Draft by hosting parties in five locations on Thursday, June 28 from 4 – 7:30 p.m. Fans attending festivities at any of the five sites will have chances to meet Kings players and team personalities, enter free raffles, participate in basketball-themed contests and watch the draft unfold with fellow fans in family-friendly environments.

“I’m looking forward to meeting loyal Kings fans and seeing how the draft plays out,” said Kings guard Marcus Thornton. “This is an exciting time for everyone—it will be fun to experience the enthusiasm with all of our supporters.”

All five parties are free to the public, with doors opening at 4 p.m. at the following locations:

Kings players will make appearances at each party, stopping to pose for photographs and sign autographs as time allows. They’ll be joined by Sacramento Kings Dancers, Kings Breakers, Slamson and entertainment department emcees Scott Moak and Scott Freshour. Prizes and giveaways will be awarded throughout the evening at all party locations.

Additionally, those fans purchasing Kings 2012-13 Full Season tickets by June 28th will be eligible to take part in the team’s remaining Draft Experiences, which include an autographed jersey of the Kings draft selection, a seat on the team-chartered bus shuttling the new player(s) from Sacramento International Airport, an exclusive meet & greet with newest Kings(s) plus an invitation to the official draftee press conference and admittance into the Kings practice facility to view a Summer League practice before the team departs for Las Vegas. Kings season tickets start at just $13.50 per game.
