Hawks Talon Gaming Club Retains MrStylez (Andrew Valle)

ATLANTA — Hawks Talon Gaming Club, the official NBA 2K League affiliate of the Atlanta Hawks, announced today that it has protected MrStylez (Andrew Valle) from the 2020 NBA 2K League Draft and as a result, the team will relinquish their original fourth-round selection. Last season, Hawks Talon acquired MrStylez in a trade with Pistons GT, the NBA 2K League affiliate of the Detroit Pistons, for DevGoss (Devin Gossett). MrStylez entered the NBA 2K League after being selected by Pistons GT with the fourth overall pick in the 2019 NBA 2K League Draft.

Additionally, the team announced that they will not be protecting ARSONAL (Devon Peek), Jay A Fool (Jonathan Jefferson) and XxSTL2LAxX (Mark Hampton, Jr.) from the 2020 NBA 2K League Draft.

“We are excited to have MrStylez return to Atlanta,” said Hawks Talon Head Coach and General Manager Wesley Acuff. “Having two of the top four picks from last year’s draft puts us in a great position as we head into next season. Playing alongside Bp (Michael Diaz), he will be a key contributor on our team. We also want to thank ARSONAL, Jay A Fool and XxSTL2LAxX for their play last season, and we wish them the best of luck in the upcoming draft.”

In 15 games last season, the Bronx native averaged 9.7 points and a team-high 5.2 assists per game. He will join Bp (Michael Diaz) who the team acquired in a recent trade with Kings Guard Gaming, the NBA 2K League affiliate of the Sacramento Kings. In 16 games during the regular season, Bp was named one of five finalists for the 2019 Intel Performance NBA 2K League Most Valuable Player Award after he averaged 19.3 points, 7.9 assists, 1.1 rebounds and 1.4 steals per game. Bp was chosen by Kings GG with the third overall pick in the 2020 NBA 2K League Draft.

Hawks Talon will now have four selections in the upcoming 2020 NBA 2K League Draft. The team will have the 16th overall pick, which was acquired in a trade with Nets Gaming Crew, the second-round and fourth-round picks from Kings Guard Gaming, as well as the team’s original third-round selection.
